Comparing today’s multifocal IOLs requires looking beyond the headline outcomes.

At the Caribbean Eye Meeting, Akash Gupta, MD (PGY-3, Henry Ford Hospital) presented data comparing the Odyssey and PanOptix Pro IOLs. In this single-surgeon study of 89 eyes, the Odyssey lens demonstrated stronger distance acuity, while PanOptix Pro performed better at intermediate vision, with near outcomes largely comparable between the two lenses.
